"As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend." Proverbs 27:17

Proverbs 27:17 tells us Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. Just like a blacksmith uses his hands and tools to form and shape metal, the purpose of Forge is to take a group of men and mold them into the form of Christ, providing unparalleled strength through numbers and our faith.

During the metal forging process, there is a treatment called annealing, which makes the material being forged easier to work with. It softens the metal, causing it to bend and shape more easily. Annealing also protects material from cracking or snapping while removing impurities in the grain, increasing the material’s strength, and reducing its hardness. This treatment is what we intend to perform on ourselves, spiritually; to remove impurities, increase our strength in faith, and reduce hardness in our hearts.
